Strange Sounds From Beyond

‘Strange Sounds From Beyond’ is an Amsterdam-based music festival and platform for cross-spectrum music with a focus on emerging experimental acts, artists, and homegrown talent. The visual identity design of the festival’s social media components, a poster campaign, a website, and the event’s stage design. Inspired by what exists ‘beyond’; the concept for the identity was based on suprematism, the Non-Objective World, and shapes are an excerpt from Malevich works. The type is in ‘dialogue’ with the shapes, and connected byway of the lines that create a gradient-movement. A custom typeface of the GT America was developed to create the triangle shapes as a type tool.
