IIT Architecture

The Illinois Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture, in Chicago, was rebranded in the early-2010s, extending from its print publications to its new digital domain. The college’s digital presence consists of a main website offering extensive information–from the practical up to the imaginative; it includes an archive of past lectures, awards and award ceremonies, and explains in detail the programs of study offered at the college. It functions independently of the institute’s other websites of its various colleges. Protocol, is a back-end intranet for communication between the students and professors, and was developed using the same structure and language as the public site. The branding of the college’s print lecture posters were translated to the main site, using tiny versions of its organising grid, to inform the visuals used to announce digital news and events.
