Mark magazine is an international architecture journal, published by Frame publishers of amsterdam. Mark showcases what's fresh in the world of global advent-guard architecture by covering the best new buildings from around the world. The redesigned issues of the publication feature a dynamic grid based off of the 'modular' system by Le Corbusier. Typography assumes the starring role, and images and type are regarded as two unique yet united layers. By placing text over images, the planes of each merged. every cover of each issue was always imbued and embedded with a subtly refined tactility, often in the form of ultra-violet coatings or imprinted foils. Each redesigned issue is swiss bound, with a linen spine, and each has its own color palette that returns on the cover and within the 'chapter' pages. It is set in the typeface aperçu, designed by colophon foundry, ensuring that all spreads are both accessible and inviting.
